Here I am at 10 months old. I used a background pattern that matched my dress that I was wearing and used some sweet little baby girl stickers that had cute little girl saying around them. I also added the 10 months old sticker.

9 Months Old

9 Months Old. Here I am with a big teddy bear so I used a background marbled paper with a teddy bear border at the bottom. Added a teddy bear sticker and a 9 months old sticker and then added some dark brown paper corners.

Walker and Car Seat Page

Here I am in my car seat on the left and my walker on the right. Stuff has definitely changed now a days when I look at my baby book and the car seats and walkers from now a days in my own daughter's book. It's neat to see though.

6 Months Old

T is for Turtle

Here I am with some blow-up turtle hence the title "T is for Turtle." Just added some turtle stickers and some green paper corners for some color.

Me at 5 months old. I cut a bunch of colored paper into squares and rectangles and was trying to make a quilted look. I added the flower stickers and the 5 months old sticker.

2 Months Old

Here I am at 2 months old. I got to come home from the hospital for a little while before I quit breathing and had to go back in for awhile. The top 2 photos show me with my Grandma and Grandpa Postema. The bottom two pictures show me in my bassinet at the hospital and the other one is me with my nurse.

This is just a quick page I put together with baby hands and feet surrounding my birth certificate.

Look How Big Mom Is

This layout shows my Mom with her big old pregnant belly. Her sonogram picture of me is on the pregnant silhouette. It was neat to see how they looked from back then (1976). And the bottom picture shows my Mom feeding me after I was born.

My First Album

I'm going to share my first album that I made with you now. I started with my baby book. My Mom had put them into magnetic albums and since I heard that can really cause some damage overtime, I wanted to preserve the pictures. Not just because they were my baby pictures, but because my Mom had put those pictures in the book for me and since I lost her at the age of 8, I wanted to make sure that our memories together were preserved as well.

The pages in this book are very simple. I was teaching myself to scrapbook and just getting started and I wanted to pull the pictures out of my baby book and keep them on the same pages in the new book too. So, I just did a few mattes and added some stickers and I copied what she had written under some of my photos and added a few of my own as well.

Scrapbooking

I've been scrapbooking since I got married in September 1998. I absolutely love it. I've never considered myself to be very artistic, but I love being able to log our memories and have the pictures there and the journaling to tell the story behind them. My Mom keeps telling me that I have a talent of scrapbooking and she doesn't understand why I don't try to get into doing it for others. So, I'm seriously going to consider the idea. I'm going to make up a couple of books to put up on ebay and see how they do and go from there. I'm pretty excited about it. I'm also going to start putting up pictures from the scrapbooks that I have already made so that in case anything ever happens to my scrapbooks, I've got a back up source to go to. I figure that if anyone does want me to scrapbook for them at some point, they can always see what I have done with my scrapbooks here as well. I figure too that the family and our friends can keep up with our memories here as well. So, one site will serve a couple of different purposes. :-)
